November 13, 2024: Flares to Flair: 3rd Multidisciplinary Psoriasis Lay Forum

What an amazing multidisciplinary lay forum on psoriasis we had on November 13, 2024! This is our third lay forum that sparks great interest and attendance from our club members.

Our honorary club adviser, Dr. Elizabeth Amelia V. Tianco, welcomed the speakers and participants, noting that this year is our club’s silver anniversary.

We were fortunate to hear from four incredible speakers who shared valuable insights and sparked meaningful conversations. Our club members were all ears, absorbing every bit of wisdom and knowledge.

CPT Cristopher Jan P. Cagampang from V Luna Medical Center tackled the topic on the connection of skin and mental health. Meanwhile, Dr. Ma. Cristina Tolin and Dr. Annie Jane Sarmiento, both from our hospital, talked about psoriatic arthritis and the metabolic syndrome, respectively. We also heard inspiring words from Mr. Paul Mendoza, president of Psoriasis Philippines, who shared advice on being a psor-life coach and engaging in advocacy work for patients afflicted with psoriasis.

All our speakers stayed for the face-to-face question and answer session after everyone had discussed their assigned topics. Our members listened attentively, gaining more insights on their skin condition. Afterwards, certificates of appreciation and gift tokens were awarded to our invited experts.

Our club adviser, Dr. Ron Dagala, gave the closing remarks to cap a wonderful celebration of our club’s silver anniversary. Of course, we remembered to take our traditional group photo to remember this occasion.

A huge thank you to our speakers for their time and expertise, and to everyone who attended for their enthusiasm and eagerness to learn. Indeed, we are continuing to grow and making great things happen!
