Last June 28, 2024, the Jose R. Reyes Memorial Medical Center - Department of Dermatology, celebrated its 35th Anniversary at the Joy Nostalg Hotel and Suites, Ortigas Manila. Hosted by the Alumni Batch 2007, led by Dr. Zharlah A. Gulmatico-Flores, Dr. Abigail C. Co, Dr. Scarlet Ciara N. Carranza, and Dr. Maria Sheila S. Villamin, the evening was filled with engaging and heartfelt moments.

The event was well-attended by 125 attendees in their most dashing cheongsam attires. The night was filled with games, music, dancing, and nostalgic reminiscing of wonderful memories as colleagues in the department. The highlight of the evening was the presentation of the Most Outstanding Alumni awards to Dr. Maria Juliet E. Macarayo, Dr. Zharlah Gulmatico-Flores, and Dr. Ma. Flordeliz Abad-Casintahan. Additionally, Dr. Ron Dagala dazzled as the Best Dressed in a stylish white cheongsam.

The evening also honored the recent PDS Diplomate Board Passers, with special recognition given to Dr. Cathlyn Marie Cortez, who secured the top spot in the recent board examination.

To commemorate the Jade Anniversary, three lucky alumni received Jade pendants and bracelets, namely, Dr. Dana Margaux Olalia, Dr. Cathlyn Marie Cortez, and Dr. Sylvia Vergel De Dios.

This was followed by a ceremonial passing of the baton to Dr. Karen Grace C. Gavino, representing the next host batch. The evening was definitely a night to remember, as everyone raised their glasses for a toast celebrating 35 years of friendship, achievements, and cherished memories.
