Rooted, Ready, and Rising — a night of growth, gratitude, and new beginnings.
Last December 16, 2025, the Jose R. Reyes Memorial Medical Center Department of Dermatology gathered at Casa Ibarra, Pasay City for its annual Graduation Ceremony, Induction Rites, and Christmas Party. It was an evening that reflected our shared values, history, and hopeful ascent toward the future.
The occasion celebrated our senior residents: Angeli Carina Lahoz, MD, Marie Everild Bernadine Nazal-Sollano, MD, Michaela Gabrielle Guieb, MD, Gabrielle Nicole Mendoza, MD, Caryl Lyca Dematawaran, MD, Karen Andrea Cadacio, MD, Rochelle Gabrielle Galvez, MD, and Aimee Cara Vergara, MD, as they completed years of training grounded in service and strengthened by resilience. Their journey filled with clinical challenges, meaningful encounters, and transformative mentorship has prepared them to rise as future leaders in dermatology.
We also honored our fellows: Cathlyn Marie Cortez, MD, DPDS, and Monique Lianne Lim-Ang, MD, FPDS, who completed their subspecialty training in Dermatopathology and Dermatologic Surgery respectively, acknowledging not only the mastery they have built in their fields but also their dedication to guiding juniors and elevating standards of care.
A touching highlight of the evening included recognizing mentors and consultants whose wisdom and contributions have helped fortify the department’s foundation. Their guidance reminds us that our department does not only grow — it grows with purpose.
From the warm welcome of the new trainees to the cheers shared over games, raffles, gift-giving, and dancing, the night was a heartfelt celebration of community. Here’s to another year of meaningful milestones, compassionate service, and continuous growth.
Your JRRMMC family is so proud of you.
